SIR.?I send you herewith a prescription of Bazaar medicines which I have just tried and found to be of great benefit in cases of acute dysentery, the prescription was given to me by the native doctor of Hassur. last .September when dysentery was prevalent here. I have used it in several acute cases, and the result has been really very good, the patients making rapid recoveries ; it certainly has great a advantage over large doses of Ipecacuanha in that it is not nauseous and depressing, and which often puts a patient off his food for a whole day. and as natives are not so strong
